One of the largest fens in Eastern Ontario, this ecologically sensitive
portion of the Richmond watershed, is considered a 'natural treasure'.

Experts at the OMB Hearing stated that a pipeline break, under these spring
conditions, (or with snow cover), could go undetected for weeks.
